Description

Many people would rather die than negotiate. Negotiations are often seen as tricky
situations, where each person fights for their own territory. They can be viewed as
scary and the consequence is that people often avoid negotiating. This means
someone always ends up feeling hard done by. Or people just give in too easily,
because they do not want to come across as too pushy or unreasonable.

The NeGOtiate course gives people a totally different angle on the challenge of
negotiating. The two day experience will help people to see that they negotiate all
the time. We all start negotiating as young children and we continue through life. We
negotiate about all sorts of things. It is a part of our survival and we have developed
many of the skills instinctively. The challenge is to use these skills in the work
environment, and to use them in a way that helps us to “show up strong”.

The relationship between negotiating parties can be the glue that holds the
negotiation together… or the spiky feeling that makes it hard to find some common
ground. How people feel about each other, before, during and after the negotiation
is one of the critical dynamics that determines whether the negotiation is successful.
Come and join us on the NeGOtiate journey. We’ll help you get your negotiating
boots on.
