This time of year can be a very stressful for most of us, so here are some tips from life coach Kate Emmerson for general effectiveness in your life during this period.
Even though things can get crazy at this time of year, it is still vital to remember that every single day of your life counts, so don’t be tempted to let everything slip by the wayside using the festive season as your excuse! • What needs to be done today and how can you do it more effectively whilst having more fun in the process? • Think about your life balance on a daily basis – yes, a daily basis. This includes each of the eight areas of life, namely Home & Family, Spirit, Relationships & Communication, Health & Fitness, Recreation, Finances, Career and Self Development. • Success comes from perseverance, patience and applying what you know all the time. Keep learning new techniques to improve yourself, read as much as you can and attend self development courses regularly. Keep pushing the envelope! • Ideally you need to spend a minimum of an hour a day doing something towards your vision and intention. If that sounds like a lot to you, then ask yourself how important all your goals really are to you. What price are you willing to pay to reach your goals and get more balance into your life right now? • Keep a list of your top goal in each area in your purse/wallet as a constant reminder. • Think from your goals as if they have already happened. • Have a collage of your next year’s goals somewhere visible, as it acts like a magnet to pull you rapidly towards it. • Lack of focus keeps you from achieving your personal success. Where attention goes energy flows. Be mindful of your thoughts, words and actions. • Learn to trust yourself. • Reward yourself as you go along your path of discovery. Learn to pat yourself on the back. • Surround yourself with successful, effective people and let it rub off on you like glitter. What can you learn from them and their experiences, expertise, challenges etc? • Live your life clutter free and up-to-date to give you more free attention and time to grab opportunities. • Most importantly, believe in yourself. Do whatever it takes to master this skill. Anyone can learn it, but it will affect every outcome in your life. • Enjoy every single minute you have. Have an awesome festive season! |
