Can we possibly be entering the next decade of this century? For my part, this year has been a successful one. We have started some amazing projects with our clients and I am especially delighted with the Leadership Development Programme and the Women’s Development Programme we are running. We are seeing on average a 20% growth per month in the number of visitors to our Women Inc. magazine and that is wonderful. Not to say that all has been smooth sailing – but all in all, I can say we are moving forward. The year is not finished however - we still have eight weeks to go, and much to achieve, so my message to myself and to you is “let’s finish strong!” I know that there are many who have had a rough year and change has been a constant companion. This can so often leave one feeling drained and despondent. So this last push of the year may feel like too much. I know that there have been a few key differentiators for me in helping me to finish strong this year: Firstly, optimising my friendship and family time. Despite having much to deliver on, I have focused on quality time with them and this has injected new energy into me. Secondly, having an objective someone to talk to has been invaluable. I gave myself the gift this year of seeing a counsellor. I am notorious for keeping things to myself and trying to work them out on my own – but in setting up this time, I forced myself to discuss the various dynamics of my work and personal life. It has been a priceless engagement and has contributed to better focus and emotional resilience. And the final dynamic has been my leveraging of the partnerships in my business (both internally and externally). The phrase, “Together we are stronger”, is most definitely true. My partnership with Avocado Vision continues to be a mutually beneficial and strong relationship, and for this I am very grateful. I have entered into two new informal ‘partnerships’ and I wanted to share them with you – perhaps they may be of assistance to you. Hayley runs a small company called “Fly on the Wall Productions”. She currently films and produces our Women Inc. TV clips. She is a gifted and conscientious worker. We are collaborating in two ways: she is working with me on the development of websites for entrepreneurs, and the audio-visual production I mentioned earlier. Should you be needing assistance in developing a website or alternatively have personal or company production work to be done, please don’t hesitate to email me directly. The second ‘partnership’ is with Migan. She runs a company called Red Balloon Event Management Solutions. She has a brilliant electronic event management solution that ensures that all guests at every event feel well looked after and allows for real-time reports. If you would like to engage with her team relating to events, conferences or seminars that you are running, please feel free to email me directly and I will make the introductions. Ok, that is all for now – I wish you a fabulous week ahead. All the best Rachel |
