Dear Reader,

Over the last month I have found myself living and working between Namibia and South Africa – it has been an incredibly exciting time.

At the beginning of the year I had two words that I felt would describe this year; restrict and regional. The ‘restrict’ word was an appeal for greater focus and intentionality.  In the world of work, it becomes all too easy to pick up too many different responsibilities. I have come to realize that this dilutes the quality of the influence one can have.  I deeply value the influence our business can have in the lives of working women. I realized that I needed to focus my attention to the core components of my business in order to yield the best results.

Many of you know me well and you can only imagine how unpalatable the word ‘restrict’ is to my being. Therefore, the second word ‘regional’ helped position ‘restrict’ with possibility. Every Woman was always intended to be a company that influenced people nationally and internationally. The last few years have seen us focused in South Africa and more specifically in Johannesburg. The possibility of exploring other nations with our message and our quality programmes is incredibly exciting.

Namibia is alive with opportunity. The people are incredibly welcoming and eager to engage. It is a country with a mere 2.1 million people. The entrepreneurial spirit is growing and the need for development is strong. The government is invested in seeing their people and nation grow and prosper. I look forward to seeing how I can position Women Inc. well in this nation.

I also look forward to exploring collaborative opportunities between the two countries, but most importantly I am excited to see the Women Inc. footprint expand across two nations. I will keep you in the loop on the progress we make and the lessons we are learning.

Have a wonderful week.

Rachel
