When I Stand On The Shoulders Of Giants

When I stand on the shoulders of
giants, I am not afraid:
My fears are the oceans I have sailed
in tempests and calm;
they ravaged against me yet I prevailed.

The wind in my sails is now like a mere breath,
pushing me onward toward uncharted seas.
I am the pilot of my voyage,
my vision is the compass of my existence, time
the mediator of my destiny.
Though my Creator has mapped my route, I drift
with the sway of strong currents - I am lost, and
in my distress night falls and the stars are dim
yet I do not despair.
Yes, I stand on waters far deeper than the
Pacific, but the captain of this ship is not my
weakness but the strength of my will and the
skill with which I have survived this journey.
I am groomed by kings to be a leader,
I am a victor not because I have won the battle
but because I was taught to conquer my fears.
I dream while I am awake for my destiny is now
and all I have ever wanted is within my grasp.
When I stand on the shoulders of giants
I am not afraid.
I stand taller than the heights of the Himalayas,
and soar with eagles
for I have learnt how to fly.
