This dark continent, This Continent that is filled with so much shame. Today, yes, our people are very much still hurting; We still suffer the injustices of the past. History is our present. Every day a new struggle, every day a new challenge. Underneath the thick layer of pain lies a strong, bold people. The school of life has taught them to be more Than just the colour of their skin. A people filled with so much gratitude. A people filled with determination to face the challenges That life has decided to throw at them. My people, black people, my black people. Yes I am proud to be one! |
