The recent economic hard times may be gradually turning into a fading memory for some, but for others they are still very much a reality. Robin Wheeler explores the positives of having to adapt to new circumstances, and the resulting personal growth.
Beneath the market turmoil, budget cuts and perceived personal struggle, there is an individual and collective awakening happening. Here are some suggestions for thriving through these trends: Your Own Truth If you find yourself feeling out of synch with your environment and turning towards your own voice, you are on track. If your company regards this highly and encourages you, it is the right place to work. What you bring from this pure place will lead you both where business needs to go. If work does not appreciate and support you, trust the new. There are many healthy places and ways to prosper. Quietness Managing Opposites New Language A new language may take getting used to but people pick up on your genuineness and respond well to it. They crave and seek the same. Also, with practice and comfort in the new way, the quality of your use of existing business language will be enriched by where you are coming from, which is a place of growing consciousness. Being Real Again, if your organisation cannot respond wisely and enthusiastically to your awakening, it may not be keeping up. I have found, though, that people and businesses act healthily and heartily towards open sincerity, as it is the evolutionary impulse with all of us. Take risks and lead through growth. Staying Present There is nothing you cannot handle here and now. There is nothing more uplifting, fulfilling and prosperous than the present. Live in it for a living.
