We all have expectations of others and life in general. These are often unspoken hopes in our hearts of how we will be treated or what we will receive from life, others, our work or at home. They are what we sub-consciously expect will happen and what we set ourselves up to receive. However, if these expectations are not met, we can feel very hurt and disappointed. This can happen even if our expectations were not verbalised.

Best friends forever - a phase used by many to describe a friendship so close that it will endure forever. It is even found on bracelets, pendants, greeting cards and coffee mugs. Most of us cherish the thought that we have such friendships, but the bonds of friendship form and dissolve themselves with the passage of time and changing circumstances of life.
